International flight details must be mentioned in your reservation comments or send it directly to booking@splendidasia.com at least 7 days prior to the arrival date. Failure to provide International flight details on time may result in long waiting hours at the airport or non-availability of the hotel transfer on the day of arrival, as a result, the hotel, nor will your supplier be responsible for missing the transfer to your hotel. For last-minute bookings made less than 7 days prior to arrival, International flight details should be mentioned on the reservation comments and booking confirmation would be subject to seaplane/domestic flight seat availability. All combined transfers (speedboat/seaplane/domestic flight) require waiting time in the airport. Seaplane and Domestic Flights are operated by third parties and the waiting time in the airport varies from approximately 1 – 5 hours depending on the flight schedule for that day. To reduce waiting time, it is recommended to book private transfers subject to additional charges and availability.
Seaplane operates only during daylight hours (0600 -1530hrs). Guests arriving on International flights will be required to check in at the seaplane counter before 1600hrs to be able to transfer to the hotel on the same day or else they will require overnight accommodation in Malé at an additional cost and they will be transferred to the hotel the following morning. The domestic flight schedule varies depending on the hotel location and domestic airline. Hence same-day domestic flight transfer may not be available based on the international flight arrival. For international flights departing before 0915hrs, it is not possible to secure same-day seaplane/domestic flight transfers. In such cases, the guest would need to depart from the hotel the previous afternoon and require overnight accommodation in Malé at an additional cost."
